just to memorize my work in EMBL-Heidelberg last February
working in Iain Mattaj's Lab (EMBL) was a very good experience, different atmosphere, really different from MPI for Biochemistry, Martinsried. But when I was working in his lab, he was not there. I've met him 3x, in RNA-Protein International Conference, in SFB meeting Halle, and in Würzburg, when he gave a talk in our Biozentrum-Kolloqium. he appears to be a very nice guy, but from my supervisor (in EMBL), Katharina Ribbeck, i knew, he is very strict :)
so...people in his lab are very motivated, although he visits them once in a week ...
and..of course i was also very very motivated hi hi hi hi ..but people there are very strange, they don't talk each other during work..work is work :) or time is work
